Jason Brennan, Assistant Professor of Ethics, Economics, and Public Policy at Georgetown University, Dec 6 2012
Thought provoking question. Listen to the examples and ask yourself if it is really wise to press uninterested people to vote? Further questions are raised about how people will vote when they remain apathetic to the process but are strongly encouraged to vote. Some people will vote for a candidate at random because they are uninformed and ignorant of policies. How does that make for better government?
