El Dorado Hills Community Vision sixth annual Youth STAR Awards

The sixth annual Youth STAR Awards, sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Community Vision Coalition, recognizes local youth for their outstanding contributions to community through leadership, mentoring, participation, and volunteerism.
“It is fundamental to our mission to recognize young people for their contributions to their communities, schools, organizations and especially for their service to others,” said DJ Peterson, executive director of the Vision Coalition. “When youth are engaged in community activities and believe their efforts are valued, they are far more likely to make good decisions.”
The ceremony, including a formal banquet for 150-plus expected guests, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at Lakehills Church, 7000 Rossmore Lane in El Dorado Hills.
