Investigators are not saying much about a shooting Monday night near a middle school in Placerville. El Dorado County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Wamego Road Monday night in response to a shooting.
FOX40 learned a man was shot in the chest near Herbert Green Middle School off Forni Road.
Neighbors in the area say the shooting happened just before 8 p.m. They told FOX40 the man who pulled the trigger ran off.
The victim was seen by witnesses being flown to a hospital, no word on his condition.
El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting. They have not released any information at this time about who the suspect is.
A man is under arrest for reportedly shooting his girlfriend’s father.
El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies say 55-year-old Danie Radasa was found shot inside a Placerville home Monday night.
Radasa was able to talk to repsonding deputies, before being flown to Sutter Roseville Hospital. He is expected to survive the shooting.
The shooter had taken off, but was found a short time later at Marshall Hospital. Robert Mckiernan was treated for minor injuries, then arrested.
Investigators say Radasa was in Placerville to visit his daughter, who is Mckiernan’s girlfriend. They have not elaborated on what may have happened before the shooting.
