Cedar Springs Waldorf School, Oct 25 2012
This wholesome family event is for children in third grade and under.
On this evening, classrooms at the school are turned into enchanting story-time scenes, such as a delicious smelling baker’s shop with scurrying mice, kitties in a pumpkin patch, a noble knight in the wood, or Rapunzel’s tower.
Upper grade students serving as Angel Guides escort visitors to each vignette, where they are treated to stories, performances and encounters with delightful characters. At the end of each stop, children receive a treasure to take home.
Children and adults are encouraged to dress in non-commercial toddler-friendly costumes that do not include masks or scary characters.
A free shuttle will be available at El Dorado Savings Bank. Reservations must be made for specific time slots; 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., 5:15 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 6:45 p.m. — last entry at 6:30 p.m. Call the school office at 642-9903.
Cedar Springs Waldorf School is an independent, accredited Waldorf school with programs spanning pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Since its inception in 1989, the school has strived to help children fully develop their own unique capacities and to be inspired with a lifelong love of learning. This is accomplished on a five-acre campus where dedicated and trained teachers educate the whole child — head, heart and hands — through a variety of academic and artistic endeavors.
