
A long time Pollock Pines resident, John Joseph Nash was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Aug. 18, 1926, to John and Charlotte Nash. On Sept. 27, 2012, he left us when the Lord called him home. John served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and thereafter attended Redlands College. He held a variety of jobs during his life, most notably as a Civil Engineer with the L.A. County Roads Department, a grocery store owner, a representative for K&W Chemical, and, together with his wife Lois, owner of four NAPA auto parts stores. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Pollock Pines, the Camino Golf Course and the VFW.
John is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lois of Pollock Pines; daughters, Katie of Long Beach, Nancy of Rancho Palos Verdes and Jeannie of Whittier; step-daughter, Charlotte of Pollock Pines; step-sons, Steven of Bakersfield, Kenneth of Keller, Texas, and John of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, with viewing from 10 to 11. Private interment will follow at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
