Judge Warren “Curt” Stracener’s campaign today announced the endorsements of two key civil rights organizations: The National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of California.
“Your support and dedication to freedom, constitutional rights and the rule of law as a Superior Court Judge is important to law-abiding firearm owners who believe in the right to keep and bear arms, self-defense and pro-freedom issues,” said NRA Director of State and Local Affairs Charles Cunningham in the endorsement letter. “The NRA-PVF is confident that you will continue your support of the Second Amendment. Our members will interpret your endorsement as being a solid pro-Second Amendment/prohunting Judge who strongly supports the Second Amendment and will uphold the rule of law.”
Founded in reaction to the poor shooting skills of Union soldiers during the War Between the States, the National Rifle Association has grown to over 4,000,000 members including several thousand in El Dorado County.
“With your proven track record as a judge who strongly supports law and order, and believes that judges should not legislate from the bench, we believe that you are the kind of person we need in our California Courts,” said Gun Owners of California’s Executive Sam Paredes, an El Dorado County resident. “We know you are a man of strong and genuine conviction dedicated to fighting for justice, fairness, values, and a strong appreciation for our youth. It’s time to elect candidates who come with a wealth of knowledge and experience to deal with all the issues that continue to plague California, especially in our courts.”
Gun Owners of California was founded by noted tough anti-crime legislator Senator H.L. Richardson, who is also a resident of El Dorado County, in 1975. Gun Owners of California Campaign Committee is the nation’s oldest political action committee dedicated to the defense of the Second Amendment and the preservation of shooting sports.
Judge Stracener’s expanding list of influential supporters includes the National Tax Limitation Committee, California Association of Highway Patrolman, and over 50 Judges from throughout California.
The election will be on Tuesday, November 6. Endorsement letters below.
