The Second Annual Northern California Women's Forum Was a Huge Success!

The second annual Northern California Women's Forum brought hundreds of women from around the Sacramento region together for a great event! The half-day Forum was held on Saturday, September 15th at William Jessup University in Rocklin and included breakfast, lunch and dynamic speakers.  

The Women's Forum is about celebrating what unites us all as women - empowerment, improving our lives and blazing trails for future generations to follow.  Every day, women are raising their families, running their own businesses, and making a difference in our communities.  It is my hope that the Women's Forum inspired our attendees to achieve the dreams they have for themselves, their families and their community.

I founded the Northern California Women's Forum in 2011 to bring together women from around the Northern California region to recognize achievements and to encourage solution-based community services.

Through my work as an Assemblymember, I have had the benefit of hearing the concerns and interests of women around California.  I saw there was a need for a positive forum for addressing issues and interests and to share a positive message of how women can and have succeeded as leaders and partners for positive change in their communities and in their personal lives.

The response and the enthusiasm from the women of our region to our second Northern California Women's Forum were beyond anything that I imagined.  Our goal - and my passion - with this event is to make it bigger and bigger every year.  I look forward to bringing the women of our region together again to make this an even better annual tradition this year and every year.
