15 volunteers from Principal Funds rolled up their sleeves and put on their work gloves to tackle some projects in El Dorado County on Thursday, September 20.
Some of the volunteers re-constructed a damaged gazebo adjacent to the youth homeless shelter at United Way funded partner New Morning Youth and Family Services and cleaned-up the area surrounding the gazebo.
The other volunteers worked down the street at Boy & Girls Club El Dorado County Western Slope, also a United Way funded partner, to paint the recently updated computer lab to reflect the new reading area. The computer lab is utilized in part for the United Way STAR Readers program.
The improvements to these two facilities will be enjoyed by many. The volunteers made a huge impact in El Dorado County. A huge thank you to Principal Funds and also to New Morning and Boys & Girls Club for being fabulous hosts for our volunteers.
