Popular retired El Dorado County Sheriff Hal Barker has officially joined the growing Richard Barb for Supervisor Team. Sheriff Barker’s endorsement came Monday night during a speech at Richard Barb’s successful fundraising reception at Crystal Basin Bistro.
“I’ve been listening to and studying the candidates now in a runoff for Supervisor”, said Sheriff Barker, “and I am here tonight to endorse Richard Barb because I believe he has the vision and backbone to change the anti-business thinking inside some of our County agencies and departments so we can start improving our dismal business climate and begin creating good jobs for our struggling families”.
“No other issue is as important to me personally as Public Safety and normally I would be supporting a brother public safety professional”, said Sheriff Barker, “however, if we continue losing more and more of our productive local businesses, along with the jobs and tax money they create, it won’t be long before we can’t collect the money we need to fund our Sheriff’s Office and fire protection districts”.
“Fixing our broken business climate and creating good jobs is the most important issue facing us as a community today”, concluded Sheriff Barker, “and hiring Richard Barb, a successful small business owner, to tackle our economic problems is the best choice we can make for our County”.
Richard Barb’s growing list of endorsements includes: the National Tax Limitation Committee, Gun Owners of America, California Taxpayer Protection Committee, Gun Owners of California, California Republican Assembly, Region Builders, former Senator Don Rogers and former Senator H.L. Richardson.
