Underneath dim lights in a room full of tears at Cold Creek Church in Placerville, friends and family of Linnea Lomax gathered to get closure Sunday.
"This isn't the way it's supposed to be, what's going on?" asks Pastor David Cooke. Their prayers for Linnea weren't answered.
Her decomposed body was found by search teams near Glenn Hall Park on Friday.
"If we are a person of faith, we say, God, obviously doesn't work," says Cooke.
As people of faith, this is a concept the Lomax family is struggling with.
"My vision was for Linnea to be rescued. I don't know what is optimally and incredibly perfect," says Linnea's father, Craig Lomax.
Craig goes on to say that only God knows what is perfect, and Linnea's suicide was inevitably part of God's perfect plan.
