15th annual Relay For Life at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds this Weekend

September 8th and 9th 2012 – Relay For Life of El Dorado County. This is the American Cancer Society’s signature 24 hour fundraising event. This county is holding their 15th annual Relay at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.

Local teams will take to the track with one member of their team walking for 24 hours. Teams camp out and have a fun, exciting and inspirational experience. It is not too late to start a team or join an existing one.

A free Breakfast honoring cancer survivors, their caregivers and family will begin at 8:30 am on Saturday the 8th followed by Opening Ceremonies at 10 am. Our cancer survivors will start off the Relay walking the first lap. Free t-shirts will be given to survivors. A moving ceremony with lighting of the luminaria bags purchased in honor of those fighting cancer and those who have lost their lives to cancer will begin at 9 pm.

Come and join us, listen to our local bands play, and be inspired. Take part in the many onsite raffles, games, contests, kid’s activities, silent auctions and wonderful food. For more information call Norma or email.
