Searchers from the Klaas Kids Foundation and Bay Area Missing were in Sacramento for a new weekend push to find 19-year-old missing UC Davis student Linnea Lomax.
When the KlaasKIDS Foundation came to town this weekend they identified just over 70 search assignments that would need to be completed in order to thoroughly search the area along the American River near where Linnea disappeared. In three days over 240 volunteers came out and helped complete 40 of those searches. Sunday morning one search team found a yellow legal pad and folder that Linnea took with her when she left the facility on June 26th. This is the first verifiable lead that we have in this case, and we are hopeful that Law Enforcement may be able to find some clue in or on the items found.
Volunteers will be conducting more searches in an effort to complete the assignments laid out by KlaasKIDS. The searches will be held every other weekend beginning on Sept. 8th and 9th. We will post more details as they are available, but in the meantime mark your calendar so you can join the team and help find Linnea.
