Trailside Readers are More than Guides

Both these books are very enjoyable to read. One written account just seems to flow into another and you find yourself not wanting to put either of the books down as your mind paints a vivid picture from the author’s words.

When I first saw the two books I thought they were typical trail guides, but they are not.
This a two-volume collection of the written works of historians, hikers and trail shepherds, spanning all 2,650 miles of this trail from the border with Mexico to Monument 78 at the Canadian border. To assist the reader, both volumes include a trail map to follow story locations.
