
The Jeepers Jamboree has a rich history, the event developing from humble beginnings to an occasion attracting four-wheel drive vehicles and riders from all over the world.
How it got started
From the Mountain Democrat, July 24, 1962: “GEORGETOWN — Jeepers from Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and all parts of California will rendezvous here tomorrow night — all night — and set out at 7 a.m. Saturday for Rubicon Springs. Mark Smith, Jeepmaster, reported 300 jeeps are expected to take part in the 10th Annual Jeepers Jamboree and parking space was at a premium.
