This is Lone Buffalo's first cabernet from their new cab source, Grace Patriot Vineyards in El Dorado County's Apple Hill which provided the requisite warm days/cool nights for optimum cabernet production.
Vinted in modern Napa Valley fashion, with 72 hours of "cold soak" followed by a long slow fermentation on the skins and approximately 3 weeks of "extended maceration," Lone Buffalo's 2010 Noble Beast Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys classic cab structure along with soft, approachable tannins. Smooth and full of fruit forward style, more robust than their previous vintages, and expected to get even better with age, this is yet another delicious red to add to your cellar.
Casque Wines, Lone Buffalo and Dono dal Cielo each have new releases ready for your summer enjoyment. Dono dal Cielo in Newcastle has just released their first-ever Reserve Blend Zinfandel. This 2009 Reserve Blend Zinfandel displays a deep purple color, aromas of pepper, black cherries, raspberry jam and smoke. Well-balanced with good acidity and a moderate to low tannin and a medium length finish. This reserve blend sells for $44 per bottle and is available for purchase online and at the winery.
Known for their award-winning Bordeaux and Rhone-style wines ...
