THROUGH JULY 6 IN EL DORADO HILLS TOWN CENTER. Annual community drive to collect toiletries and food items needed by our dedicated soldiers serving overseas. Care packages will be mailed mid-July by the Honor Our Troops Committee. Donations will be collected daily Monday, June 18, through Friday, July 6, 2012.ITEMS REQUESTED: Black crew socks, beef jerky, sun screen cream (travel size), lip balm, foot powder, dental floss, granola bars, hand sanitizers, hand or baby wipes (travel size), snack-size bags of nuts, toothbrushes, tuna snack packs, hard candies, top ramen, golf balls, thank you cards and letters
WHERE: Collection boxes will be displayed at participating businesses throughout El Dorado Hills’ Town Center, including The Hub, Ruffhaus Hot Dog Company, It’s Kids Time, Juice It Up, Face in a Book and Wells Fargo. A Hands4Hope table also will be set up during the July 3 Fireworks Jubilee at Town Center to accept care package item donations and allow families to sign cards and draw pictures for troops.
ORGANIZER: Hands4Hope is a non-profit, non-denominational, youth driven outreach organization based in El Dorado Hills. The organization’s mission is to grow the next generation of socially responsible citizens by engaging youth in community outreach.
