Sean Martin, Pollock Pines Elementary School District, June 19, 2012
Measure K Passes with 61.87% Yes Vote!Thank you for your support and work on helping pass Measure K, a $9 million, proposition 39 general obligation bond, that will help support the students of Pollock Pines Elementary School District.
We are excited to begin projects and have created a page on the district website to keep the community informed on the activities paid by Measure K. One of the first steps is the district will be interviewing for construction management and architectural services in the near future, and we hope to have some projects started in the 2012-2013 school year.
We will also be creating a Community Oversight Committee (COC), that will help provide accountability and transparency in this process. The committee will monitor the progress and performance of the projects and the expenditures of these tax-payer dollars. We will be sending out information soon if you are interested in being on the committee.
Thank you again for your support of Measure K.
